The artist Sarit Rubin was born in Tel Aviv. In 1978 she relocated with her family to the northern township of Rosh Pina, in the Upper Galilee.  The pastoral views of the Galilee and the ancient stone buildings of Rosh Pina serve as the inspirational backdrop to her unique artistic style, where colour and stains prevail.  Sarit paints in oils, acryllics and water colours and her paintings are characterised by the dashing colours of the Galilean landscape, with special emphasis on spots of light and depth. Sarit studied at Beit Hachan, the advanced school for painting in Kiryat Shmone and in the Tel Chai College.  She has participated in both one-person and combined exhibitions and her works are exhibited in various galleries all over Israel.  The biggest collection of her works is in the studio gallery in the rebuilt part of ancient Rosh Pina.
